Good news: the deta bass .
A customer asked for a lightweight 5 string long-scale bass with
- exceptional tuning stability and easy access to the upper positions
- great tone
- unique appearance
See the result: the Deta consists of a 2-octave through-body neck made of maple and padouk (5 strips), a light-weight swamp ash body with a AAAAA curly maple top.
2 "Bassbar" pickups by Harry Häussel can be used in humbucking (series or parallel) or single-coil mode.
According to the customer's needs the Deta features active electronics by Aguilar with volume, balance, bass, mid and treble controls. The control has been upgraded to allow the change of midfrequencies between 400 and 800 Hz.
For that bass we use the Babicz full contact bridge.
