controls
sharc-guitars use active electronic circuits. Treble losses and other problems as caused by low-quality cables are avoided.
The control section includes volume, treble and bass. High frequencies can not only be damped but treble and bass can be boosted, too. Tonal possibilities thus are expanded in comparison with passive designs.
On models with piezo option the signal is first processed in a filter section. You find two additional controls than: ´Piezo-mix´ controls the balance between magnetic and piezo pickups. Smaller amounts of piezo components give you some more attack on chords and lead lines. Turning the mix control to the right end turns your sharc into a nice acoustic guitar. The remaining control sends the signal to a separate output which you can connect directly to a console or an acoustic amp.
