hum rejection and outputs
A new circuit is introduced with the sharc guitars: the hum signal is captured by an additional coil (mounted on the back side of the straight-thru neck) and subtracted from the sound signal within the preamplifier. Thus even signal-coil sounds can be played without hum.
sharc guitars are equipped with a typical 1/4 inch jack and an additional multi pin jack. Here you can connect the sharc to a charger / power supply. The same cable sends the audio outputs to the charger, too. Connecting your amp to the sharc charger lets you use only one cable at the instrument side.
If you use the charger with built-in di-box you can even send the output of the acoustic section to the console without additional connections. This means if you use the piezo option you have two outputs simultaneously.
