Our new model for those on the move: the travis guitar.
The new travis is the smallest instrument possible for acoustic guitar players on the road:
Strings are threaded from behind the nut, over the bridge and then routed via guide rollers to the tuning posts at the back of the guitar. Unlike on one similar model, the travis´ guide rollers at the end of the body employ ball bearings to aid smooth and precise tuning. All standard strings and gauges can be used. This travis model is equipped with a Graphtech piezo bridge and an fmw preamp for warm acoustic sounds. Simply plug in your headphones or your portable speaker. Any active speaker with an analogue input (preferably phone jack) can be used, e.g. the JBL Flip 3 speakers.
A standard mandolin gig bag will fit the travis for transport, but try to find one with an accessory pocket big enough for your speaker.
Electric travis models are on the way...
